ROLE · MORTGAGE LENDING
Listing-agent outreach
The first digital agent on a loan officer’s team. She works non-stop.
A loan officer wrote the job in three lines. The agent sweeps listing sites, finds the listing agent, writes in the loan officer’s own words, and sends from their mailbox.
01
The job, as the client wrote it
Go to Redfin for the following counties. Search properties for sale for over 3 million. Look for listing agent, input address, and send email.A loan officer’s brief, verbatim
02
What the agent does
- Sweeps the listing sites
- Across every county and ZIP on the list. Nine to start. Changing the list is a sentence.
- Finds the listing agent
- With email, brokerage, phone and license number. Not confident? It holds the record back rather than guess.
- Sorts out the mess
- One house on two sites is one email. An agent with five listings is one email. Anyone already contacted, or who asked to stop, is left alone.
- Writes them
- The loan officer’s pitch word for word, their subject line, their licensing block, their NMLS number, them on CC. One short line of its own about the listing, naming the site it was found on.
- Sends them
- From the loan officer’s own mailbox.
- Checks twice a day
- On the conversations it started: replies, bounces, out of office, opt-outs. The ones worth a person’s time get flagged.
The loan officer reads replies. That is their day with the agent.
03
The first two weeks
The agent does not get the keys on day one. For two weeks it leaves the emails in the mailbox as drafts and the loan officer sends the ones they like. Then they decide. Nothing switches on until they say so.
04
What the client brings
- A model subscription
- The agent thinks on the client’s own Claude or ChatGPT account.
- A machine that stays on
- A Mac mini or similar, if it should run unattended. A laptop works if they would rather start it themselves. We can manage the machine.
- Twenty minutes, once
- For the mailbox, the daily volume, and copy their compliance team is happy to sign.
05
What the agent does not do
- Answer agents. A real question belongs to the loan officer. The agent flags it and steps aside.
- Read the inbox. Only the conversations it started. We keep who was contacted and how each reply was categorized, not the replies themselves.
- Chase. One email per listing agent. No follow-ups.
- Change who it contacts on its own. Delete three agents from one brokerage in a month and it will ask whether to stop suggesting them. Nothing changes unless the loan officer says yes.

Where this goes
This is the first hire. The same shift can chase documents, watch rate triggers, or work a reactivation list.
